From nest to prison:

Meeting disability- A physical Educators responsibility

Inclusive programming means all students are provided with the opportunity to participate in physical education and sport at appropriate level and with the necessary support. The problem in school integration and particularly in physicaleducation classes is that proximity itself cannot guarantee acceptance. Physical educators must be able to make adaptations and changes that will guarantee the true meaning of inclusion. Otherwise, the inclusion fails and the physical education class is a place for "dumping" students. In other words the nest becomes a prison for the students!
